A Home Weatherization is initiated with an Energy Audit checking for conditioned air loss leaks across your home. These are found by running a Blower Door Test and by doing a visual inspection across door seals, window seals, outlet and switch covers, checking for holes near plumbing penetrations, and any other possible penetration that may compromise the building envelope. Once these areas of concern are identified, they are then to be sealed using weatherstripping, caulk, foam and light switch gaskets. A Blower Door test is done again after all the measures are installed and a weatherization report is turned in to the home owner showing the improvements.
